Well I got off work with enough day light to head down to the island and look for some flounder so I launched right before the no parking zone heading into sea wolf and did a few drifts. The wind was pushing me in one direction and the tide was pushing me another. I worked the channel edge around the bulk head directly across from the yacht basin. I wasn't having much luck casting and retrieving so I switched to a 3/8oz jig head and cast and just let my drift move the plastic for me and that seemed to do the trick. I hooked into a solid flounder got it to the top and she spit the hook. With the drift I didn't have time to let the fish take it. She thumped and I had to set the hook. There were a few more thumps but I decided to strip some line to let the fish take it a little longer but that didn't work either.
