  • Sightcasting Reds!

Headed out in the yak again today. Fished another new area in Surfside. It was very windy and that made things alot harder but I was still able to find fish close to a protected shoreline. Tossed a DOA glow shrimp on their noses. Caught and strung 2 lower slots and released 4 more hoping for a bigger one to finish my limit but never found her. Ended up yaking back to the truck and moving to another spot. Was able to scratch out another slot on a top water just drifting. Headed back to the truck while watching the sunset.

Great job. Nothing like stalking them in the kayak.

                    Also.
To all you hunters... I saw a bunch of ducks and had a flock of snow geese fly right over my head.

I also had a coyote follow me for about 50 yards, he was acting funny, kinda like he knew what I was doing. I think he expected me to toss him a fish!

As soon as I get the boat up and running again we will have to make a day of it out there. Very awesome. I can't wait!!
