Plugger, great report and pics as usual. Any idea how far you paddled? At least you got your rod bent, not to mention the beautiful weather.

I averaged 5-6 miles each day . I use a 1/4 to 3/8 oz. gighead when fishing the bottom for flounder and reds , 1/4 oz. for trout if the tide is moving hard and 1/8 to 1/16 oz. for trout normally to keep the plastic suspended and dancing in whatever water column I locate them . I use GULP for flounder and have been using it more for everything . When I was catching small trout and reds left and right , I experimented with unscented plastics and GULP . The Gulp out performed the unscented by far . I fell guilty using the GULP , almost like cheating and using live bait .

Gulp is always my go to lur, when nothing else is working. I try to stay away but at times all I want is to feel something on the other side of my rod, so I get GULP
