10 lb Berkley Big Game with 20 lb Berkley Big Game shock leader joined with a blood knot. For day to day fishing use the Tony C. Speed clip with the swivel to eliminate line twist with soft plastics. Tourney day no speed clips, just loop knots. When using a speed clip I use 18 to 20" of leader. When not using a speed clip I will start off with about 6' so I can keep changing baits with out tying a new leader all the time.
