I absolutely love the Solo Skiff! I can pole it in 2 inches of water, can get up on plane in 6. It gets 30 miles per gallon - I can fish for days on my 3.3 gallon tank. It will take me places that larger boats cannot get into, and too far for kayaks to even consider.Walker

Nice going walker. Neat lil' skiff ya got."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Performance:
The Solo Skiff is rated for 5hp, but most people put a 6 on them because the 4, 5, and 6hp engines are all identical except for the carb. Same size and weight.
My Solo with the Tohatsu 6 runs at about 15mph, and will hit 17mph lightly loaded on dead smooth water. It gets about 30 miles per gallon. I can go over 100 miles on my 3.3 gallon tank.
I can pole it freely in 2 inches of water, can run in 4, and can plane in 6. I can pole across water that is only an inch deep, but it takes another inch of water to be gliding.
Fully rigged, it weighs about 250 pounds. I trailer mine, but a lot of people carry them in the back of their trucks. The axle and hubs of my trailer have never been in the water.
I will get wet running in any chop. In the winter, I carry waterproof pants and jacket for running in chop, and take them off and store them below deck when I get on the flats.
The Solo will go where no one else can - too shallow for larger skiffs, and too far away from a launch for kayaks.
SKIFFSTIFF took this pic of me in my Solo last October.
And storage - oh yes - it will carry plenty. I have all of this below deck.
