  • 8 mile surf

Hit the water at 545. No takers on top water. Switched to live shrimp and managed nine keepers for the freezer. Had alot of throw backs. The quantity is still in the surf just not the quality of a week or two ago.

Man that is disappointing to hear the topwater bite has slowed down in the surf. Might have to hit some other spots tomorrow. I did notice that when I wasdown there Wednesday though.
I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself. A small baby bird will fall frozen, dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself...

surf sucked all weekend. did catch a 2 lb pompano on an east beast, never caught one of those. Top water was slow and would only hit while it was twilight. did have a few get off in the afternoon at the pleasure pier that were pulling drag, but never landed them. Did move to the bayside friday after the weak *** surf and caught some nice specs on top, and saw about a 6-8 ft shark leap out of the water and do a barrel roll about 100 yards in front of me. Pretty crazy sight.
