anyone hit the surf today or going in the am?

we had 5 fishing between 8 and 11 am this am. i donated a pair of costas! water is nice, lots of seaweed but still very fishable. sharks moved in and started messing with my stringer so we decided to move and never got back in. big rollers but fun.

Went in around 7:00 am off the seawall. Caught and released some small trout. Lots of bait in the water but a bit of a grind. Hooked what I thought was a small shark that turned out to be a 17" bull whiting. Boogie boarders and tourist moved in and was time to move out. Fish caught on chicken on chain B/A's. off the water by 9;00 am.

I caught six but it was pretty slow; Two very early on top, two on a 51M, and two on a mirrodine....nothing over 20"s.
