Surf is crap, stick to the bays.

Just got back from Surfside. The weed is absolutely terrible. Driving down the seawall looked promising on the way there, as the surf was flat & birds were working everywhere. As soon as I pulled onto the beach, there was no beach to be seen. The weed was piled up from the waters edge to almost the dunes. Tried to fish anyway. 30 seconds after making a cast the line was wedded out. About 200 yards off the beach, I could see 20x20 mats drifting in, so i called it a day. Pretty crappy since I was planning to stay till Saturday. Well off to unload the Jeep!

I should have listened to you. Surf still crap. Sandy brown, even with little wind there is choppy, uneven waves, weed everywhere.
