  • Brazoria County Recon & Report

All of Bryan Beach all the way to the MOB is clear green to the beach and almost completely flat. I waded an hour or so around noon at the MOB both in the wade gut and off the back of the second bar and saw no bait in the water and had no hits. Drove from there all the way to SLP and fished both the wade gut and off the back of the second bar adjacent to the location of the old SLP Pier. Same story; no bait in the water and no hits. The water in the surf at the MOB felt around 72 degrees; the water on the outgoing tide at SLP felt around 77 degrees. What wind there was at both locations was light and out of the Northwest. On my drive down the Blue Water Highway, the surf for the length of Follet's Island was beautiful. Will probably try the incoming tide at first light in the AM, probably near the MOB.
