SLP surf update

Got in the surf just east of slp at 6 am. Water is CRYSTAL clear, almost too clear, I don't want to see the sharks swimming around me. Lots of bait but the trout were scarce. Caught 2 on top before the sun came up then nothing.

Catching trout in the surf is picky to say the least. If they do not have a structure to hang around you have to wait for the next bunch of bait fish to come through. It sure is fun when the right conditions come together. Thanks for the report!

I fished from noon to 2 and had 7 good trout, all about 20in.

Thanks for the surf update . WTG SPOOKMAN ! Good number of solid fish . I didn't hear any negative comments about sargassum .

all caught on cocahoe minnows. seaweed was thick out to the 2nd bar but not very bad at all after that. no pics, all fish were released to fight another day. going to keep a few tomorrow!
