Hit the pay beach in Surfside at dawn.
Winds light, water sandy. Not much weed in the water.
Plastics and spoons produced nothing.
Guys fishing shrimp were catching nothing but dinky dink non trout.
Went to Access 4, and spoon came back every time with a clump of weed.
Wind picked up from an offshore rain storm.
Headed to Bryan beach and to my surprise the water looked mo better.
Still, nothing would hit the arties.
Netted a bunch of finger mullet from the only school I saw all day.
Started fishing with them past the second bar. Still no takers.
They were in the first gut,....that's where I caught these around 11am,....a 22 and 20"
Wish I would have started there first.
