Late start. Got to the surf around 8:30. All we need is some white sands and some pretty girls on the beach, and I would say it would be a Florida beach. The water was clear as can be. Chest high and I can still see my feet.
Found a pod of mullet and went to work with a bone spook jr. No intrest in it. I was about to turn around and leave when I saw a dark shape 20 yds to my right. Casted my spook of there and swoosh! It was an 18 inch or so red. Moved to the bay side area.
Walked in and I had a few trout blow ups and snagged one out of six. Then the trout went nuts and start busting up a large large school of mullet. It sounded like a popcorn machine out there with the *pop* *pop* noise. But the problem lay in the fact that there was just too much darned bait around. I even caught 3 mullet on my spook in one cast. I hooked onto one more trout that went 19 but was utterly frustrated. Called it a day at 11:30 and left the trout feeding. What do you do in that situation. I was just hoping to come across a trout at the right time with the spook.
