  • Fort Anahuac Park

Well I'm second guessing walking in at the refuge since of all the aligators I've been warned about. I saw on my wade fishing map that theres a walk in at the end of fort anahuac park road. Is it any decent? and is there anything I need to watch out for? Thanks for all the helpful advise guys its healping this young wader out tremendously.

I can handle the sharks, but not the gators. I would recommend just hitting the surf or christmas bay.

    Good luck and stay safe.

Don't be scared take a buddy named Bait and ya'll have a 50/50 chance.Make him wear the rotten chicken! The water is gonna be fresh over there and way up.The way the fishin has been the trout and such have been shallow early.Just go slow and look for bubbles.

Fished their Sunday between the wind and the game warden {i think} in a air boat running around all the islands and the 2 gators we saw, i would pass on that place for a while and yes the water was fresh, oh and their are a bunch of floayting things with wires and other things on them all over the place, dont know what they r their for. Your 2 for 2 on the gators.

Dang. Do any of you have any advise for a novice wader? I live in Dayton (not the closest to any wade fishing spots) but willing to travel wanting to fish saturday morning.

There's a seismic crew working Trinity Bay. That's probably the air boats you see running around there.
