I said this morning early in a post that trout probably went deep with the water temp drop. So, I deep waded upper bay shell casting Corkys into 4'-5' water. I worked that area from 7:30 -10:30 without a bite. Soooo.....I headed to a nearby shoreline looking for Redfish shallow. I caught two, maybe 20" reds, and then came to a deeper cut (1') from the bank out to the drop off from knee high to thigh high. For some reason I cast out away from the bank and a fish picked it up when it hit the water. At first I thought that I had a nice red, but then I saw this good trout. I was stoked. 6#s. I caught several more almost that big, and then walked the drop off picking up a fish here and there. Ended the day with seven 3.5#-6#. Kept two smaller ones and released the others. Fish were all caught on red/white Sand Eel Jr. paddle tail on 1/4 oz. jig.
