    Surf here is sandy as heck with a strong East to West current. It may be better on East beach or the seawall.

    I went scouting from 12th and blvd. down to end of wall to Jamaica beach and never saw a rod bend. Unless my binoculars deceived me, water conditions were better off the seawall. Never got my feet wet.
