Myself and Hogie70 hit the ramp early Saturday morning and were in the water by 4:30am.We caught a few good fish in the dark on black spook jr's,but the bite slowed down at daylight and we caught a few here and there on plum and purple/chartreuse diablos and sand eels.About 9-9:30 they turned on,and we had a steady bite for about 2 hours. These fish were eating too. Most of the trout were hooked deep and several need minor surgery. They slowed down around 11-11:30 and we made a move to another shoreline, picked up a few more trout and called it a day about 1:30.Most of the trout were in 4-5 ft,on hard sand and just on the edge of a drop off.The best bite lately has been late morning, even early afternoon with some tidal movement. It was a good day with a good friend.
