I met Mike(Ibtsoom)at the house yesterday morning at 4:30 and one of his friends Mike and we headed to the ramp.We made the short run to the shoreline where we have been on some good trout and were greeted with nagging SW winds. It wasn't cranking, but enough to not able us to fish it like we wanted. After an hour and a half,we made a move.We made another short run, jumped out of the boat and had steady redfish action for over 3 hours.I don't know how many we released or how many good ones pulled off,but it was great action in waist deep water.I believe our biggest was 6.25.The tide was lower than normal and these fish were pulled off the shoreline over a mud/crunchy shell mix.Dark colored plastics have been the ticket.Plum, purple, black have been the mainstay. On another note, the trout bite was tough,we managed 3 and that was it.We were in a local tourney, but didn't have anything big enough to place.Mike had a red that went 4th.A great day on the water with some great guys.
