Had the pleasure of taking one of my co-workers son, Toby, fishing today. Water had dropped out a foot from last week and was a bit off-color. Couldn't find a trout in our first few stops. Headed off to a spot that I had caught some nice reds last week, off a point that had scattered shell and a mud bottom. Within an hour we both had our limits and a couple more on small paddle tails. He was using a pumpkinseed/chartreuse and I was using a norton mardi gras. While reeling in his first fish he remarked "I've never fought a fish this long". I think I enjoyed waching him catch them more than catching them. Glad I was able to share the day with him.
