Walked in on the south shoreline around 0615, sun was just about up. Wind was ssw, and sometime wsw, at maybe 10. Water was moving, with poor visibility, maybe a foot. Lots of big rafts of bait, you had to pay attention to the nervous water, because you couldn't really see the bait, just the nervous activity. About every 15 minutes or so something would rip through the bait. Lots of cast into the melee with no results. What did work was grinding out a ss jr ch w silver sides. Caught a keeper on average about every 20 minutes from 0715 till about 10 when I walked out. Let a 26ish go (pic) best one so far this year by length and a gas on a top water. Never figured out exactly what retrieve they wanted other than erratic. Fast, slow, pause, they all caught fish. Six keepers 15 to just a little over 20.
