Walked in late yesterday after work around 6:40. Caught this 5lber on a clown spook jr. in about 2 ft of water that was at least 2 ft higher than normal tide, seems to be the norm for 2016.
Tons of bait under a gusty 15+ish ese wind. Water clarity was fair at best, but I don't think it matters that much in the spring when they are hungry. Had 4 or 5 other blowups, 2 of them were good, the rest just slaps. Had a nice trout get completely out of the air and flip, just forgot to stick to my top water. Didn't fish any plastics or suspending lures...probably should of but limited time and looking for the top water rush...walked out about 8:30
