Saw a few young bucks but nothing I wanted to shoot. One nice 8 point with a broken G2 tine on the right side...if there guessing it would have been 115-120...nice buck but needs another year or two. That was about it for me. Need another good cold front to get the mature fellas out!

Was too darn hot in Nacogdoches. Didn't see anything-other members saw young bucks and does-rut has not started yet at all. Probably worse year yet as far as numbers, but also having 90 degree heat and then that storm blew through saturday night at almost 6 pm with 40 mph winds sorta added to the disappointment. Try again in 2 weeks-by then the rut should be on.
