Crappie fishing 2/17

The weather couldn't have been more perfect this morning for the crappie bite at Sheldon. A buddy from Nacogdoches came down with his jon boat, so worked weed lines and lily pad stems from sun up til 11, and left the fish biting. He had to head back to Nacogdoches unfortunately, other wise I'm sure we would have got our 50. We caught a total of 39 and 2 solid blue gill. When we got back to the boat ramp, my buddy looked to put our fish in his cooler, but it had been stolen out of the back of the truck. I hate thieves, I have been wanting to come up with something like a game camera for vehicles to catch these pieces of crap in the act.

That's one of the things I miss from up there. Used to fish pinkston and mop up on em. Spent more time fishing than I did in class for sure.

Sweet. I was just talking about crappie fishing today with my fishing buddy. I have never tried them. WTG.
