Halls Bayou Crappie

One question Bounty hunter, north or south? I've been bass fishing in halls for the past few months and I love it. I've never fished freshwater before so looking for a hint or two. Don't need specifics on honey holes or anything. I've been focusing on tree cover and logs (plenty of em!)
