      Summer Project

I had a full report written up and tapatalk crashed twice last night and the second time it didn't save my reply...

I sent the carb off to a company in Ohio that specializes in cleaning and tuning these carbs. They came highly recommend by the mini truck guys.

The radio, speakers & needed spacers are installed, no clearance issues and the tunes sound good!

I mocked up the rear receiver hitch yesterday which will allow me to pull a small utility trailer full of decoys if needed through the field.

The hitch is missing from the photo because it was just for mock up.

I still have another fuel filter, transmission mounts to replace and then it will be ready to go off to James for the rear rack and seats.

Something like this for the rear.

Well guys, she is done! Well, I still need to weld up of the rear hitch I bought and fabricate the rear benches and rack that will bolt to the truck bed. I took her around the neighborhood and she is running great.

I sent the carb off to Hite Parts in Ohio and they did a fantastic job for me. I installed the carb, turned the key and she started purring like a kitten! I didn't have to touch a single thing! The clean carb along with all the maintenance items mentioned in this thread has given me a smooth running, reliable hunting rig.

Here are some photos of the clean carb

I noticed there are two fuel filters so I installed the second fuel filter which was a PITA because the fuel started squirting everywhere luckily this allowed me to drain the tank and so I used it to my advantage and got any potential bad gas out of the tank. I ran the rest out of it today with 1 GA of fresh gas.

I also received two stock transmission mounts. I was missing one and the nut on the passenger side was missing allowing the transmission to bounce around so I replaced them with two new ones identical to stock.

I am still waiting on some miscellaneous items like a window rain shield for the drivers side and I'm trying to find the mud flaps for the drivers side. Still no luck yet but the window shield I'm told is perhaps on its way to me from Twin Rivers ATV.
