Maybe they can get Alan West to move from Florida and be the new President of the new Republic of Texas! This is ridiculous. Let's see if my math is correct....20 X say 30,000 (600,000) total in a country of almost 300 million.....I wouldn't start a war if I were you. You lost...get over it......just sayin'

I guess nobody but Coach remembers the Civil War / War of Northern Aggression. Not as pretty as it sounds.

I don't mind accepting immigrants from the blue states to our Republic. If they're coming down to work here, they've seen the light. I've sure seen alot of out-of-state plates, like PA and Ohio lately. Reminds me of when Michigan moved down here in the 80's, when the unions ruined the car industry there.

Oh, and we're about to get an influx from CA. Seems they were dumb enough to vote for higher taxes, and eject all that revenue away from their border to Texas (or Montana).

You must work for the census bureau or listen to El Rushbo too much. I remember the 80's well when we ( the Unions) built the South Texas Nuclear plant in Wadsworth after Brown and Rat screwded it up so badly that it took another 18 months to demo their chit to even start to line things out. Had to put out an international call-out to finish it ahead of schedule. Liscense plates from all over the U.S. arrived in Bay City to work that job. Old Uncle Ronny Reagan had us at a 10% unemployment rate and Hl&p got their nuc on schedule on time. Still running strong with no one glowing in the dark as well as every refinery and chem plant on the Texas gulf coast all built with union labor all the way back to the 60's. Last time I checked their all still making $ too. I digress.

Texas will Secede, at some point in time, from the Union!

We are one of the few States that are self supporting. We have many natural resources right here. They need us more than we need them. We don't f'ing want Montana, we want Texas!!!

Welcome to the Republic of Texas! Yee Haw!

Personal insults won't further your argument. I'll not pursue you down that low road.

Bechtel took it over as the engineer, architect and constructor and, yes, used union labor tradesmen. You didn't distinguish between skilled trades (for the project you cite) and my implied reference to the UAW, which effectively forced the automakers to pay unskilled labor $100/hour to screw nuts onto bolts.

Did the population that left Michigan, move back? Um, no. So, explain to me why I commonly see blue state, out-of-state plates now? They're not here to join the unions are they?

Let's ban together and show your support for leaving the Union by changing your avatar to this flag. Who will join me?

The first Constitutional Convention Declared Texas' Independence from Mexico, wrote the first Republic of Texas Constitution, and appointed its first leaders. During the session, they also designed and approved a flag for the new republic. This flag would be considered the first "official" flag of the Republic of Texas. This flag, again, is a symbol of defiance. It shows a lone star, labeled "Texas", just in case anyone wondered what the lone star represented. A committee of five delegates, all signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence, was selected, and their choice for a new flag was approved by the convention on May 11th, 1836. The design of the flag also served as the reverse side of the new Republic of Texas Currency.
