I don't know you or want to. You're old enough to know better. I grew up in a conservative family, but decided as a kid that I liked Kennedy better. When I got to be voting age, the war was going on and Nixon was POTUS, so I worked for and voted democrat. I continued through Clinton's first term. Hell, I was a dem. operative in Texas trained by the party for Clinton's first run.
Then I began to realize that I had absolutely nothing in common with the democrat constituency, and that I was voting out of habit.That's when I switched parties.
You see, at a certain point, most people gain a vested interest in the country and the economy, and also believe in the traditional values learned at home, in the scouts, and at church that built this great nation; simple things like right and wrong.
We are in a culture war and we shall prevail. There are the makers and the takers. You decide which you are....
