Well, that really proves it. You ARE an IDIOT! He's not anywhere near moderate. He studied the Constitution so he could destroy it. Lincoln knew the Constitution well too, enough to nearly destroy it and kill over 600,000 Americans in the process.

The fact that Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize is laughable. He did absolutely nothing to deserve it.

We are NOT out of Afghanistan, and truth be told, we're not really out of Iraq. His premature evacuation did little more than make the situation worse.

Saved the auto industry? You mean he stole money from us and gave it to corporations that waste it. Our auto industry is being destroyed by unions and spoiled American workers. There was a time unions were truly necessary, but corruption has made them the enemy of any business they're involved with. I don't have problems with folks that are union members. Most of the time they're forced to join a union. I do have a problem with the corruption of the higher ups and the political influence they exert that is in opposition to good business sense, efficiency, freedom, and Constitutional government. General Motors should have been allowed to FAIL. Chrysler should have been allowed to FAIL. That is how a capitalist economy works. If people suck at their jobs, they get fired. If corporations are poorly run, they fail. They would have had no one to blame but the UAW and the infuriatingly stupid decisions of the executives.

As far as Bin Laden, how can you even give him credit for that? ANY moron in that office would have done the same thing. His shameless spending of that act as political capital makes me ill. He didn't risk his life. Men serving in our navy did. They deserve all the credit, and that is what he should have said.

Finally, AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE? Let me ask you something, do you really believe anything is free? Do you really believe that a government as weighed down with corrupt bureaucracies as ours can responsibly administer something as F-d up as that bill? Obamacare is patently Unconstitional. We have just enough Supreme Court justices who are as screwed up in the brain as you are for it to stick. Try reading the minority opinion on that sometime. It takes away our freedoms and steals our hard earned money, giving it to people that many times, do not deserve it. It is completely over-run with ridiculous policies that do absolutely nothing for people, but cause expenses to rise and corruption to fester. The bill is rife with stupidity. I still can't believe they rammed that through Congress and the idiots voting for it hadn't even read the thing! That is obviously not how the government is supposed to work for WE the PEOPLE. The real problem with the medical industry is corruption, useless middlemen, and frivolous lawsuits. Something had to be done, but this was gone about in the worst way possible, and the results as we will see, will be the worst possible for all of us. I wouldn't trust our government to run a lemonade stand.

Obama is a symptom of our failings as a country. We are now in the midst of a steep decline in values. A majority of people no longer work for a living and pay taxes. It's just too easy to vote yourself more money on the dole. Free, free, free. Nothing is free. I'm paying for it. And it's all your fault because you've bought into the lies . . . . or maybe you're benefitting by getting the money that's stolen from everyone who works and pays taxes.

John Maynard Keynes was a moron, and Obama and his ilk have bought into him completely. A capitalist economy has natural ups and downs. It doesn't matter who the executive in office is. They should never have to take the blame, nor accept the accolades as it goes up and down. They are not dictators in control of all, nor should they be. Controlled economies do not work either. I'll take boom and bust over a loss of freedom any day. There is precious little a president can do to turn around an economy in decline, but he (or eventually she) can do a lot to make it worse. FDR was a socialist too. He did all he thought was right to turn us around in the Great Depression. Nothing worked . . . . but war. WWII was what put an end to the Depression, not the terribly wasteful alphabet agencies and their accompanying corrupt bureaucracies, or the massive deficit spending that FDR brought forth. Obama was absent that day in history class when that was explained. Government control of anything causes it to run poorly and wastefully.

I love my country, but I fear my government. These United States were founded on the principle that WE the PEOPLE are the masters of our leaders. They are not the masters of us. We are citizens, not subjects. But people are lazy, and they're just smart enough to understand that when you get something for "free", then why lift a finger to do anything yourself? This is how the government gets control of WE the PEOPLE. This is how we, the last greatest hope for true freedom on this Earth are now giving that freedom away, and for what? For the crumbs that our "leaders" throw to the masses. This is exactly how Rome lost the republic and gave way to dictatorship and collapse. People like you just don't realize it because you're too busy being happy with the crumbs.

Enjoy your crumbs. I'm paying for them.

As far as those unions making a big come back... see today's news:

"The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), have announced that they are leaving the AFL-CIO, citing irreconcilable differences. The union cited many grievances but focused mainly on Obamacare and accused AFL-CIO president, Richard Trumka of playing along to get along."

Indiana and Michigan have recently approved legislation which would make their state a right-to-work state. That means people in that state can work and not have to pay union dues to get a job.

US: "Those Surrender Limeys Won't Join Us in a Clusterf*ck"

                By Leo Napp31/08/2013 03:04:00

                Font size:
                Omnium rerum principia parva sunt
WASHINGTON D.C - USA - The Americans say the Brits are shameful surrender limeys for not starting World War III in the Middle East.
"Those goddamn surrender limeys would rather sip their butt warm beer than get sucked into all out war with Russia. Instead we gotta side with the frogs who are a real bunch of goddamn lilly livered surrender monkeys and wouldn't even fight for their own country in World War II. Well I guess they got something to prove now huh," Tex Mulrone, a staunch steak eating, tobacco munching American said before spitting some yellowy red stuff into a spittoon.
As John Kerry prepares to send the Swift boats into the Mediterranean, President Obama doesn't realise that what he is doing is being set up for a big fall.
"A few bombs and missiles will not achieve anything apart from waste a lot of U.S. taxpayer money and kill a few more Syrian civilians here or there. By now the Syrian elite and armed forces have prepared for an attack and dug in. The only people who are going to get hit are the suffering Syrian people. And with debt liabilities amounting to over $70 Trillion can the U.S. afford to be sucked into another expensive useless war? The only way to clear Syria out is by boots on the ground, and that's what the U.S. is going to have to do. They're using the same strategy they used with Iraq, first bomb, then dump troops into an unwinnable quagmire. Iraq is still a lawless no man's land right now. The Americans cannot even get out of their limited bases just like in Afghanistan. As for the Russians, they have their people on Syrian ground, if they get hit, then do you think they're going to sit back and take it?" strategic analyst, Henry Arnold, told CNN.
Obama is not a military man and knows little about strategy or world affairs, he is putting the world into serious danger with his naive policies, and Russia is playing with Obama like a bear plays with a fresh river trout before eating it.

I can always tell when the subject discussions turn into name calling and someone always casts in and agrees with them. That means that some ones values and principles may be in question and a nerve has been hit with the truth and the name calling becomes a great release.

                        MG:

I thought you had much disdain for corporations, yet you say Obama saved the Auto Industry. Why would that be good to someone that dislikes corporations? I am confused-you say CEOs are greedy and overpaid but are happy that GM and Chryslers' CEOs got mega bucks from the US taxpayers. There is a reason for the bankruptcy laws which would have applied to those auto companies-think of Hostess-Twinkies are still available after bankruptcy and what about the airlines that filed bankruptcy? They still exist and are making larger profits than ever, but the auto companies still have not paid back the money and the gummint shares of their stock is 1/3 of the value it should be to make back the money lent. great job Obama-the man that turns a Dollar into $0.33, but hey, that's a better return than the $530 Million he GAVE his buddy George Kaiser at Solyndra.

Regarding intervention in Syria. My take:

Let em kill each other-they are Al Quiada and Hezbollah and each are terrorist organizations that the World would be better off without them. I say stay out, let em murder each other all they want and we should tune in our satellites on them and get the popcorn out and cheer each and every attack and death. Die, die, die bastages.

But Herr Obama thinks it's right to aid terrorists apparently-wonder which side he picks to help?

I wouldn't consider Sandy's insightful, compelling and well composed summary, having questionable value. His usage of the word idiot, by my interpretation, is not meant to insult, but define. Maybe an alternative is more politically correct:

He saved jobs and could have cared less about the managers. Our gov did not approve of 12 top exec including CEO with GM back in April on pay increases. They still owe the taxpayers money. Green Energy companies should get the entitlements and tax cuts that the oil companies have gotten for years. Path to the future. As far as Hostess they went into BR to bust the union workers. Period. Hired nonunion labor back at reduced wages and benefits. Anything to cripple and break up the middleclass. Same thing has happened in Wisconsin/Michigan with teachers firemen and policemen. And lots of Americans believe that's a great thing. I do not. I believe its sad. All workers deserve good benefits, wages and a safe place to work. And corporations should be able to make a profit but not at the expense of the companies employees.
