Are U a Texan or American first?

Our country was established as a loose confederation of states. As such, we are all citizens of our states first and then citizens of our country. Of course we are all Texans first. Well, except me. I was born in Connecticut but I married well.

Interesting question...I'm not native but have spent all my life in TX...my wife is not native either but our son is. Im also proud of my dads side of the family his mom was a Hale as in Nathan "I only regret that I have one life to give for my country", and my grandfather migrated down from Nova Scotia in the 1930s, probably the coolest dude I've ever had the pleasure to spend time with in my life... If the Yankees hadn't stood up to the British back then then we might not have the great state of Texas...so I'm both, but I aint never leaving Texas!
