The tittle says it all! Fished with Mike, who was down from Colorado. We didn't have near the schooling activity, but we made up for it with a handful of fish that I found that we ultra skinny with their backs exposed "crawling". There probably isn't anything that reds do that is cooler than this, ad they are tough targets when they get this shallow.
We probably saw 10 different fish in water less than 4 inches of water and got shots at 5 or 6. Of those, Mike got 5 bites and hooked and landed 4.
We saw a few pods some tailing fish, cruising singles, and the crawlers, so we covered the spectrum of shallow water redfish behavior. All total we lands 5 reds on fly from 20 to 22 inches. It was a great day for anyone, especially someone who has never seen a redfish before. We even saw my pet hawksbill turtle again.
