Floating Post in West Bay

There used to be three posts marking Caranchua Reef mid-bay, but now there are two. I saw the third one a couple of times last week bobbing vertically, with about 12"-18" sticking out of the water. I don't know where it went, but its out there and will jack you up if you hit it!

Could you tell which side of the reef it was from? Was it the one closest to the north shoreline?

Don't start me ta lying.....but I think it was the one on the East side.

Thanks. Ill scope it out this weekend or early next week. I use the one closest to karankawa cut to run by quite a bit. Sucks when my nav points get knocked over. Hope nobody knocks a hole in their boat.

Gee, I wish folks wouldn't tie up to markers, buoys and posts. That one may have fallen due to age, but I see some real idiots tie up to posts, buoys and markers and next thing ya know, it breaks. It is illegal to tie off to a navigation aid, so if ya see some idjit do that, nicely remind them that it is illegal and use their dang anchor.
