Hitting the surf with my sons this weekend in Galveston!

Looks like the water temp is rising... I'm glad to read this board and hear about all the nice reds and specs being brought in.

Anyone got any good trusted bait for Reds in the surf... I've been pretty lucky over the years with cut mullet or finger mullet if I can get them. Anything else I should try?

Cut crabs have worked for me in the surf. Though I like my shrimp too!

Yea, good luck! My niece and nephew will be here in a couple of weeks and that's what we are planning to do. Crab and Mullet on the surf rods and kites in the air! Good times.......
