Greetings! New Old Guy!
Hello all, I am a newbie here. Getting to be too hard on an old body and too expensive on light pocket book so I sold my offshore rig this past August.
I bought a well used 16' aluminum boat yesterday with the intention of learning and fishing Chocolate and West Bay. I live in Manvel, so it's an easy trip to get to either Lutes or the 2004 bridge. I hope to make the rig into something I can drift fish with and also use as a flounder gigging platform.
It will be a few weeks before I am ready to put my little rig in the water, in the mean time I will be lurking and hopefully learning.
First question, are there any security concerns with the parking area at the 2004 bridge, launching late afternoon and coming back well after dark?
