  • Landlubber from Northeast Texas

    Hello Salt Fisherman,
I'm a landlubber from up North, Texas native. I get down South to the sea about 1 or 2 times a year. Up this way I mostly fish for the trophy size catfish in the many large water bodies we have around the DFW metroplex like Tawakoni, Lavon, etc.

But, I love the big pond of the Southern Texas coast and have been learning the ropes in the last 4 or 5 years when I can get down there. I mainly surf fish and it's not to different from fishing for the big cats up here, except to me the Salt water is more exciting because there is so much more that could happen once you get your lines wet.

Anyway, I'm introducing myself and I'll be down on Pirates Beach 8-26 thru 8-30 trying to get spooled!
