Just saying howdy. I've lived on the Gulf Coast, here in Pasadena-Get Down-Dena, all my life. Been fishing that long too. I look forward to meeting new fishing buddies.
I fish out of an Qcean motorized kayak. It has a built in saltwater trolling motor that actually floats. It comes in really handy when the winds in my face. Anyway, hope to get to fish with some of you. God Bless, Hacksaw

Post some pictures of that prop driven kayak . How fast does it go and how heavy is the whole rig ? I kayak a lot .... paddling.

The kayak has a place the motor drops in, just in front of the rudder. There is a built in quick connect to plug in the power for the troll motor. The motor control switch is located just in front of the seat. I mounted rod holders on the battery cover, which is in front of the seat. The front compartment is dry storage, which really works. It will go about 5 MPH with the wind and maybe 3 MPH into the wind. Without the battery, it weighs about 70 pounds. With the battery, about 90 pounds. I pull it to the water,then go back for the battery and troll motor. I've gone two to three miles on the south side of West Bay, (Galveston State Park), fishing, and the battery still has a good charge after a day of fishing. I love it. My buddy made a little bit of fun after I got it, because of the troll motor. After a full day of fishing, with the south wind in our face, I pulled him back to the launch site, and he never said a bad word about it again. In fact, it got so bad, he wanted me to pull him out to the fishing spot and pull him back in. The little motor never missed a lick. After I get where I'm going, I paddle to the places I want to fish. Let's go fishin, when it's suitable.

I don't know why the rudder looks that big. It isn't half that size...

Yes, I attached an anchor trolley. Works wonders when the wind is blowing.

It's not too bad without the battery. I Hand pull it in and out of the garage to hook it up to my truck.
I need to get a yak dolly to move it around when I go fishing, so I can go by myself.
