I had the pleasure to meet Plugger while fishing just across from the boat launch Saturday. After recently purchashing a flatboat and motor which ran fine the previous weekend on Lake Somerville, the fuel pump went out before I could leave the launch. I wasn't going to let that ruin my fishing day and used the troll motor to get me out there to fish. And I'm glad I did because I caught fish and had the privelage of meeting Plugger who invited me aboard the West End Anglers. Plugger made a comment that stuck in my head, "If it weren't for saltwater fishing, I wouldn't fish at all". Well he's right. I will spend at least 95% of my time fishing the West End with a very rare trip to some freshwater lake nearby.
I've spent 40 years in Lousiana and 10 in Maryland and have been here in Texas for 2 years and don't have any plans to leave. I'm loving Texas and plan on enjoying every weekend somewhere between the east and west bank of San Luis Pass.
Looking forward to seeing you all out there in our little heaven right here in Texas!
