Local Rod builders??

Anyone on here build rods localy? Billystyx (the master IMO) inspired me to start building rods. Here are the first two & a half I have made.

My first Spiral. This one is almost finished. It will be a "John Deere" for a buddy of mine's son.

Just finished this one yesterday. One of my vendors wanted a Michigan Wolverines rod.

This was my firs attempt. Came out better than I thought and a lot was learned thru the making of it. Gave it to my Dad.

Those look great! I've been tempted to take the rod building class at FTU but I keep putting it off. Looking at these makes me want to put it back on my schedule.

It is a love hate relationship! I never thought it would take off like it has. I have 8 rods on order to this point & several more pending! One day I will have time to make one for myself! Shawn

My family gifted me a custom rod for my birthday. Now I just gotta figure out what I want and who to build it... Thought about buying components and rod building stuff, but they'd prolly kill me if I spent even more time in the garage than I already do! Nice work there Shawn. That hardly looks like "beginners" work.

Crappieman on here made me a beauty-titanium spring eyelets/coils, beautiful wraps-A-1 job. Helluva nice guy also.

You must have a lot of patience to build a rod from scratch and I commend all that do.
