Florida This Wednesday

So i'll be heading to Orlando/ Cape Canaveral this coming Wednesday and will be staying until probably Sunday. I'm going to watch the shuttle launch. However, I want to do some fishing down there and may bring my trout rod and some terminal tackle. Any suggestions on places I can fish? Also, how does bringing a rod and reel on an airplane work towards baggage requirements and such? Thanks!
