Headed out to west bay launched from 2004 picked up reeltime in sea isle and headed out one man short. (won't say who)Reeltime and I put a few in the boat. Drop Reeltime off around 3 and headed back to the ramp. Bad news was a was there was a major thunder storm having over the ramp. Good news I could fish some more. It was nice and cool from the could cover and downdraft of the thunderstorm. Pull up into new bayou netted a couple mullet. I chinned a a few poles cracked open a cool one and just kicked back. It was pretty awesome watching this massive storm nearby. Made a few calls checking to see what everyone caught today. Then I changed a few crab eaten mullet and cracked open another cool one. Sat down looked up and a saw I had a customer. Set the hook and that's when all he'll broke loose. I had my bait up in a shallow flat and the fish headed shallow jumping out of the water and ran aground went nut and broke off. Yep boys there is a 4-5 ft shark up on new bayou. If someone can catches him can I have my chatter rig back? What trip you never know . Headed in after that . Stopped by a bait hole a netted some really nice shrimp big enough for some shrimp salad sammiches !
