    I plan on getting my captains license this fall. Anybody recommend a certain instructor? Hoping to stay in the clear lake area.

          i highly recommend Capt.Roys... take the course that spans 3 weekends it gives you plenty of time to study
          between sessions.good folks there!

                  When i got mine about 12 years ago I paid around $1,300. That was everything class, drug test, USCG test fee, and physical. I took mine through Sea School in Clear Lake. They closed down about 6 or 7 years ago.

                      If u become a guide an get big...an the oilfield business falls through....I know who could be an accompanied guide boat with u.....
