So, I decided to take a gamble and come out to the pier tonight and I'm glad I did. I for one am a huge fan of sandies and boy we are still lighten em up. Sandies and Spanish mackerel. Entire ice is stuffed. Fish fry this weekend for sure.

I was on tamugs campus and me and 3 friends caught about 70+ sandies in about 3 hours, released them all. had 1 spec and tons giant ribbon fish

very nice. i was working with lights under the 36 bridge in freeport about 2 weeks and a friend and i caught about 150 each in the six hours we were there. mostly sand trout with some specks mixed in. kept a total of 50. 13 specks and 37 sandies. never seen that many trout under lights.

Saw some big ones swimming thru every once in a while by showed no interest, even when hitting then on the head with my DOA.
