  • Favorite West Bay Coves

Was wondering what coves produce best for you fellas? My favorites are Jumbile, Fenceline, and Dana's.

I have a feeling you probably won't get a direct answer to this one ha ha but good luck. What are you targeting...trout, flounder or reds?
I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!

What ever cove is holding bait/birds/or off colored water..... Which all of them generally do. Some of my favorite also have a deeper water cut or gut near by.

Really depends on a lot of factors. Like Pimp said, find a reason (sign) to fish a cove. I'm pretty sure that at one time or another they have all produced trophy class fish. Most people will have their favorites, but that only comes from having a good understanding of the cove.

Season makes a huge difference. I like certain coves at certain times of the year and tide levels.

Put your feet on the ground and spend a little time in each one and you will find what you are loking for.

                    Good Luck!

I thought I'd start a little conversation. I agree all are good depending on guts, streaky water, commarants, crab traps, etc. I never worried about fishing secrets and spots, I'll tell someone where I caught mine. they may or may not be there tomorrow and if they are you still got to catch them. confidence and lure presentation are the key.

I just follow Kenny and Muddskipper-they are like birds and streaked water-I do avoid their guts though!!

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
