  • Waterproof Camera

For those of you who take a camera with you while yaking or wading, what kind of 100% waterproof camera do you use? From what I gather, you sacrifice image quality for durability?

Olympus SW.... awesome camera. Ive had mine for 5 years dragging it around in the saltwater and never a problem. Image quality is as good as any other digital camera.

I carry a Kodak Playsport. It takes decent (not great) pictures, about 5mb. The video quality is good. I've gotten some decent footage of the kids catching fish which I like. It's waterproof and shockproof.

Have any of you wadefishermen ever thought of using a GoPro Hero video-camera while wading. We just got one for offshore fishing, I think it would be work badA for wade fishermen

X2 The video quality is surprisingly good for a waterproof. Don't zoom if you want a clear pic though. X2 on the shockproof also. It's a good small size. I've used it wading, kayaking, hiking, skiing, snorkeling, and whitewater rafting.
