Talked to a nice young man at the Serious tackle store in LaMarque today on I-45. Friend told me they had some inshore baits and I went to check it out. He was telling me how they did rod and reel repair with fair prices and quick turnaround. Might be an option. Really can't voulch for him personally but I think my brother-in law had some work done and was impressed.

I've had reels worked in at serious tackle. They do excellent work!

I have always used Cut Rate Fishing Tackle on I-10. Turnaround isn't quick but they have kept my Calcuttas working flawlessly for 15 years.

So appreciate the info. I hate taking my reels in to anyone, but long story short, I figured out that I cant fix them.
            (painful story on that endeavor).

You can try "Mike in Friendswood" (He's actually in Bayou Vista). He's got a great rep on TOS. I'll PM you his info if I can find it.

Future refrence there is a man named Pat he does the reel repair out of his home. Hes a really good guy. He knows alot about fishing and even more about reels. Hes fair priced and usually takes about a week to get your reel back to ya. He's almost totally rebuilt some of my reels. PM me and I will send you his info.

Mike Cubbage in Bayou Vista. He cleaned mine a few months back and he did a great job. Also know as Mike in Freindswood on the other site.

Curious who is the reel repair on Gou Hole Rd as your heading towards the Hugo Point boat ramp?
