It almost makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it.Tidal movement and current are the life-blood of that upper end of East bay.If this happens,it will never be the same.I HAVE and WILL let my voice be heard on this issue. Is this just the start of things to come?.I hate even thinking about it.Robalo, where are you?.Politics have to be involved somewhere. What's your take?.Can we stop it?.It makes me ill.

You are going to have tidal movement and current, that is not going to change much. What little that goes out the pass will take a different route. There are no politics involved, it all has to do with money and destruction of the beachfront.

According to family members and friends that were around pre pass days, there were grass beds and the oyster were plentiful, opening the pass destroyed all of that.

And to answer your question, no, I don't think you can stop it.

we have been involved with every fundraiser for this to stop it , aside from the changes to the bay it holds alot of memories just camping down there overnight with Dad and grandpa and its a staple for east bay , its a great place for people to go that dont have boats and want to fish off the land , I dont want to see it go
I dont always drink beer, but when i do , I prefer to be fishing !!!!!

It is going through a committee right now for the final vote to close it. The committee is the people of Texas or something of that nature. I just read about it in TFG newsletter.
