We got here last night. I have a project every time here. This time, it is wiring the palapa on the beach. I built the palapa 4 years ago, but we have never had power in it. What lighting we had was some battery powered LEDs that are beginning to fail. So - it seemed like now is the time to wire it up.

I brought down 100' of 12/2 UF, breakers, a waterproof enclosure, 80 feet of LED rope light and a GFCI for the job. We bought 100' of 1/2" PVC conduit on Tortola yesterday and brought it over on the ferry last night.

I was up at 5:30 this morning to try to take advantage of the morning cool to dig the trench from the electical panel out to the palapa. Long story short - I finished digging at 12:45. The job is done. We have light!

I really enjoyed the rest of the afternoon - chilling in the sea with some friends that came down from Texas. This girl knows how to make an old pirate with a sore back feel pretty good.

I have promised Henrique that we are fishing tomorrow.

    Nice going Walker. Looks great.
Great meeting you. Someday we'll have to get down to your turf (or sand).

Ibtsoom! I thought you were too tired to play any more music. I get on here and see you're posting from the cave while I'm sitting here in the living room with no entertainment??? Go to sleep. You're fishin' tomorrow. LOL!

Any red white and blue rope lights on the palapa Walker? Good luck fishin' with Henrique!

We tried the red and blue lights, but they did not work so well in the palapa - could not find the right place for them. We do have a place for them though - we know the right spot - will get pics when they are there.
