East vs West bay

I usually fish around the dollar point and moses lake area, but there seems to be mostly redfish. I want to find a bay were I can find more trout. Would you recommend East or West bay?

Now I have never done this, but I know the structure is there. Imagine a triangle formed from Dollar Point to Eagle Point to the Ship Channel and back to Dollar Point. I know the water is 8-10' in some places out there. Drift the deeper/cooler water and see if you don't pick up a few trout hanging over a few of the reefs.
