Capt John Offshore on Sunday
Wow what a Ride out on Sunday on the Capt John, My two sons bought me an offshore trip for Fathers Day and it was a blast, but the ride out was a tough one. Nice six foot waves tossed the Capt John around a bit. We did fairly good with a total of 28 or so Red Snapper, We tried for a few Kingfish but no luck, we think we actually hooked on 3 of them but they cut my braid super quick. It was a GREAT time none the less, my fishing buddies are the best.

My buddy went out yesterday on the Capt John too ... he had 3 Kings ... one was 34lbs,another 20ish & the 3rd one was 54lbs. he brought the 54lb'er to Marburgers this morning for STAR & when it was gaffed it was gaffed in the gut so Marbburgers said it couldnt weigh because it was considered gutted ... i just talked to my buddy ... he is sick. he would be leading the STAR for Kingfish right now.Comment

We saw him catch those kings it was a giant, Thats really sux that it was not allowed. I would take it up with Star, it was not his fault thye gaffed it that way.Comment

yeah ... but im sure Marbergers has seen quite a few fish over the years ... they would know. he is supposed to send me some pics in a bit. he is already @ home & filleted em out. the lady @ Marbergers told him ... " well you can go catch another one"? ummm sure you can ... everyone catches 50+lb kings everydayComment
