  • Porpoises?

Two weekends ago, was over in Bastrop Bayou near Demi-John Island, saw some porpoises in the bayou just west of the Clay Banks. Then last weekend, saw more of them in Chocolate just south of the 2004 bridge.

Is this a fairly common occurrence?

And is it any kind of indicator that the water is in good condition for some specks and reds?

So that explains why I only caught one tiny red on Sunday?? It can't be that I don't have a clue about where and when I should be fishing...

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

Me porpoises have a love hate relationship , they love to be around my boat and I hate them for it , but ya typically if their in there that means fish are /were there

I agree. Whatever way it is traveling crank the boat and get about 100-200 yards in front of em and u will catch fish.
