tilting issue

I may have asked this question before but since it has been workin fine for the past few months I guess I forgot what advise i was given. It only starts acting up if I run aground kinda hard and abruptly. I did it again this Saturday running through the rain I ran onto a shallow area. Tilt went hay wire and kept lowering by itself and everytime I raised it would just go back down. After a little while the throttle tilt button quit working and when I tried the button on the motor not even that would lift it. I cruised real slow to the ramp and came home. Crazy thing is its working fine right now.... Any suggestions? I promise to pay attention this time.

The only thing I can think of is Maybe the force of the motor was pushing it back down, Next time try putting it into Neutral & see if it works! Mine will do that ocassionally & putting it into neutral Helps! Good Luck!!

This happened to me and was the motor switch , just disconnect it and try the throttle switch and Bryan at Evans marine can hook you up with the switch !
