  • Nobody on the wall?

Took my three minute ride to the spot on the seawall and lo and behold not one single wader. One foot peelers on the first bar and water looked a little murky in close. Few pelicans diving on the third bar and I'm should I or not. Heard the roll of thunder and came on home. Bet the water towards the pass is better. Waiting on Kenny's report?

Looked a bit murky on G-town cam but I can't hit it up anyways.

I checked out the radar and it looks like a single big storm cell sitting over the island with nothing else around!

Sandy inshore like it has been. Maybe I sound like a broken record, but when it blows SSW and SW like it did last night and the WNW & NW like it did this morning, it isn't going to be green to the beach!! Oh, did I forget the slooow outgoing tide all day...
Hell, I'm struggling in the bay. I caught (one) 4# trout this morning on a prl/chrt Corky Devil.

I'd take that, Kenny. Nice meal for two. I jaw hooked a whiting on a rootbeer jig yesterday on a two hour wade. Best I could muster.

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

Nah, I usually don't keep fish.

This has been one of the worst summers I can remember...between family obligations, house repairs/remodel, weather, and the dreaded four letter word...WORK....I have been 1 snakebit son of a gun! Hoping the SW thing changes quick, like kenny said...SW is a green killer!

That snakebite will all change with that trip with Capt. Havens. How I'd love to be a seagull for a day hovering and watching Galveston340. reeltime and you giving that man a days work. He'll be forever changed.

John can hold his own...seen him go toe to toe with a dude that walked right up on him while we were wading, and the guy actually casted across him. He's usually pretty soft spoken...but that stuff lit him off...just like it would anyone here!

It'll be a fun trip I'm sure of that...hopefully we get it!
